YSL - Le Teint Touche Eclat - Foundation Review

The YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation has been long awaitted in the beauty industry and been in the making for over 10 years!!

If you are a fan of their cult product, the Touch Eclat brightening pen for points of the face, this is supposed to be the Touche Eclat for your entire face.

It promises to brighten and give radiance. I was excited for this one as my skin can look dry at times and I quite liked the idea of a helping hand to give me a little ore radiance.

Sadly, however, for me personally, this foundation did nothing! I see many positive reviews online but the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat is a total fail for me. Firstly, despite boasting of a large shade selection range (18 shades in the UK) I could not get an exact match for my NC37/40 skintone.

Now, I found this alarming for a high end product, I normally manage to find a shade matching me even in drugstore foundations!

I still tried it though, overlooking the shade problem thinking the formula would be superior. The foundation is extremely sheer and has not much coverage at all. In all fairness, it is not supposed to cover so even that is OK. The worst bit for me was that I was like a grease ball within one hour of wearing this. There was no radiance or glow what so ever for my oily/combination skin, just grease and horrible shine. It doesn't set well and moves about/slips a lot on the face.

The YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation is probably better suited for those with dry, unblemished skin. Giving how poorly it merges and works with oilier skintypes I really feel YSL should specify it as a product for dry skin.

It is reasonably priced for a high end foundation and has amazing packaging which is really luxurious and look oh so pretty on any vanity area.

Counters in the UK at Debenhams, Boots and House of Frasers are giving free samples of this just now, so try it out and see how it works for you before splurging on this.
